October in Review

I’ve heard a few of my fellow book bloggers say that they found themselves falling behind in October, and, you know what? I hear you, friends! Ugh, this month! I don’t know where it went or what happened. It was just goodbye September, hello November. I started out visiting friends and family in Adelaide, then had a few interstate visitors pop over to Perth. Life got busy, I got the flu (always fun). The inaugural Australian Short Story Festival happened here in Perth! But other than that, I’m not really sure how I spent my time. All I know is that I’m in desperate need of a haircut and a big blogging catch-up sesh.

Anyhoo, onward and upward! The books I did review were all fabulous. You know how sometimes you hit on a run of excellent reads? Yup, that was me this month. Some really great Aussie titles in the mix too, and more to come this month (look out for a review of Holly Throsby’s Goodwood (Allen & Unwin Oct. 2016) very soon. It’s a cracker).
