I was tapped by the wonderful Clare Snow to take part in this fun little challenge, and I am never one to walk away from a challenge.
First up, the rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Nominate three more blogs
3. Post one quote each day for three days
A big thank you to Clare. She writes fabulous reviews of (mostly) YA and graphic novels over at Of Ceiling Wax and Other Things, and if you aren’t already following her, you should change that.
My first quote is here. My second quote comes from Peter Pan (1911) by J. M. Barrie:
‘On these magic shores children at play are forever beaching their coracles. We too have been there; we can still hear the sound of the surf, though we shall land no more.’
All the nostalgia, amiright? Peter Pan is one of my favourite stories—frightening, whimsical and magic—and this quote sums up all its bittersweetness. Also, I was such a serious little kid, so eager to grow up, and now all I want is to play make-believe all day. Hence all the reading and all the writing.
